Akron Gear manufactures in house straight tooth bevel gears up to 24" in outside diameter to AGMA 8 specifications. All straight tooth bevels are cut on Gleason Bevel Gear Generators. Machines are set up for both roughing and finishing operations. Straight tooth bevels larger that 24" and spiral bevel gearsets are made in partnership with other gear companies. Straight tooth bevels and spiral bevel gearsets can be manufactured from many types of materials including steel, bronze, plastic, and brass.
